Week #1 A Talking QR Code

QR codes (two dimensional barcodes)  have been around since 1994. If you're not sure what a QR code is you can read about them here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_code.

Thanks to Pinterest, I discovered there are talking QR codes that enable you to embed your voice and create a talking QR code!

I decided I would make one embedding a thank you message to my co-workers for their gifts and for the retirement reception party they held for me last week. I only wish I could see their faces when they get my card. I could email it, but I'd rather print it and send it 'snail mail'.

I'm sure I'll be creating a number of these in the days ahead for birthday cards and unique email messages for my family and friends. The only thing I need to consider is that the recipient has a smart phone with a free QR scanning APP.
